Job Description

We are currently hiring to support the continued growth of our expanding practice! We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources Department. This role focuses on foundational and administrative HR responsibilities, with a clear path for professional growth into a leadership and HR Manager role, if appropriate, as the company expands. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, people-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a dynamic healthcare environment. The home office for this role can be in our Oxford or Shelton, CT office locations. Hybrid/remote hours may also be available.


Job Responsibilities

Main responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintaining accurate employee files and HR documentation
  • Assisting with employee benefit administration and payroll coordination
  • Tracking compliance requirements, certifications, and required trainings
  • Insurance credentialing and CAQH profile maintenance
  • Supporting performance review processes and internal documentation
  • Assisting with employee engagement initiatives and team-building programs
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Supporting HR reporting and data tracking
  • Assisting with implementation of HR systems and process improvements
  • Creating and disseminating employee and candidate newsletters
  • Any additional duties that support the mission and growth of the organization

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to problem-solve and support both staff and leadership effectively
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable learning new software systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • HR certification (or willingness to obtain in the future) is a plus!

Pay: $18.00-24.00 per hour
